Zoya Ahmed, PharmD, MSc, is a Senior Research Analyst in the Strategic Market Access team, located in the Rotterdam office. Zoya has worked on disease areas like cardiology, respiratory, infectious disease, diabetes, oncology, among others.
Zoya has worked in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries within business consulting and market access, particularly on projects related to landscape assessments, pricing, and reimbursement. Her experience also includes the adaptation of cost-effectiveness models. The therapeutic areas she has particularly contributed to are infectious diseases and oncology. She has presented work at ISPOR and contributed to the ISPOR Statistical Methods in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Special Interest Group (SIG). Zoya holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (from Manipal University, Karnataka, India). She was awarded the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to pursue a second master’s degree in Health Economics and Management (from Bologna University in Italy, Erasmus University in The Netherlands, Management Centre Innsbruck in Austria, and the University of Oslo in Norway), during which she performed an internship at the Market Access department of a large biotech company.
Cathelijne Alleman is an Associate Director in Strategic Market Access, located in the Rotterdam office in the Netherlands. Her main expertise is leading and conducting systematic literature reviews. Systematic reviews for clinical and cost-effectiveness have been used to prepare indirect comparisons, economic models, global value dossiers and (NICE) reimbursement dossiers.
Cathelijne also has experience with reviews regarding epidemiology, disease burden and treatment patterns, where she used the results as input for gap analyses, landscape analyses, strategic advice and value stories. The outcomes of several literature review projects have been published in journals (examples in neuropathic pain and diabetes). Furthermore, Cathelijne has been involved in preparing manuscripts for publication, PRO studies, country adaptations and network meta-analyses. Through all the different projects she gained experience in a wide range of disease areas, including respiratory disease, oncology, urology, osteoporosis and several orphan diseases. Cathelijne joined OPEN Health in 2011 with a Master degree in Public Administration and a Master degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law.
Emanuele Arca is an Associate Research Consultant in Strategic Market Access, located in OPEN Health’s Rotterdam office. His main expertise is conducting (systematic) literature reviews to inform network meta-analyses, global value dossiers and reimbursement dossiers. Moreover, Emanuele has experience in conducting stakeholder interviews and health policy impact evaluation.
His background is in European Public Health, he particularly focused on literature reviews in epidemiology and disease burden in EU countries and on EU functioning and policy-making in the field of healthcare. He has been involved in stakeholder analysis projects, where he conducted literature review and stakeholder interviews on the functioning of Public-Private-Partnerships in healthcare. Disease areas he has worked in include inflammatory disease, digestive conditions, oncology, and orphan diseases. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Prashant Auti is a Senior Research Analyst in the Strategic Market Access and Modeling and Meta-Analysis Centers of Excellence, located in Open Health’s Mumbai office. Prior to joining Open Health, Prashant worked in various organizations and is well-versed with systematic and targeted literature reviews, medical writing, medical information and medical communications.
His last stint was with GSK Knowledge Center in Gurgaon, India where he worked primarily on literature reviews, report writing, drafting abstracts and presentations. He has worked on projects focusing on asthma, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease. He earned his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from NIPER, Mohali, India in 2012.
Lohit Badgujar is Associate Scientist in Strategic Market Access, located in the Mumbai, India office. He is an expert in conducting and managing the systematic literature review (SLR), which has been used to develop the HTA submission (NICE, CADTH), indirect treatment comparison (MAIC, NMA), global value dossier, and economic models.
Lohit also contributed to developing cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact analysis, meta-analysis, and RWE compendium.
Prior to joining OPEN Health, Lohit worked as a Manager, Value & Access, at Novartis, India, where he was supporting Market Access initiatives through evidence development and health economic modeling across the product life cycle. Additionally, Lohit served as a Director, ISPOR Mumbai Chapter from 2015 to 2016, where he was involved in training and educating students from the University of Mumbai and nearby geography. Lohit has presented his work at several international conferences and has publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Lohit holds a Ph.D. (Tech) in Pharmacology from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, and an M. Pharm. in Pharmacology from the Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune.
Kavitha Baruah is a Scientific Consultant in Strategic Market Access, located in the Marlow, UK office. Kavitha has experience working on market access deliverables including global evidence dossiers, systematic literature reviews, HTA strategy and stakeholder mapping across therapy areas. Kavitha also has extensive experience in designing and publishing RWE studies.
Before joining OPEN Health, Kavitha worked on private consultancy projects conducting systematic literature reviews and spent several years working as a research academic authoring a number of research publications including book chapters on therapeutic antibodies. Kavitha completed her DPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford in 2012.
Mark Bernauer, is a Senior Scientist in Strategic Market Access, located in the Bethesda, MD office. He has more than 25-years of experience across a breadth of roles including medical functions within the pharmaceutical industry, as a healthcare consultant, and as a registered pharmacist. His expertise includes medical writing (e.g., systematic and targeted literature reviews, manuscript development, and global and AMCP product-value dossiers), communication and evidence generation plans, market access recommendations, value propositions, and conducting competitor and stakeholder analyses. Mark has therapeutic experience in the following areas: neurology, dermatology, endocrinology, immunology, oncology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, and infectious disease.
Prior to joining OPEN Health, Mark worked within the consulting industry at Precision Health Economics and Optum across a variety of medical writing/market access projects. Mark also worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN, primarily supporting the neuroscience portfolio, across a breadth of roles including health economics and outcomes research, medical sourcing, clinical plans and operations, and medical information. Mark has been responsible for creating and publishing over 15 manuscripts, conducting 50 plus literature reviews, and creating over 25 dossiers. Additionally, Mark served and led projects on the AMCP special projects committee. Mark earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin.
He is an accomplished medical writer with 3 years’ experience within market access consulting, and specialises in the development of large written market access materials such as HTA submissions (e.g. NICE, SMC, AWMSG, NCPE), MHRA PIM/EAMS applications, value dossiers, and payer-facing decks.
David has developed high quality market access deliverables across the fields of oncology, respiratory disease, dermatology, neurology, and cardiovascular health.
Prior to entering the field of market access, he completed a Biochemistry PhD and conducted postdoctoral research at Queen Mary, University of London in the field of Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, David has previously worked at a medical devices company, the Imperial College London Toxicology Unit, and a global CRO.
David has published three first-author articles in reputable biochemistry journals; and co-authored two health economic posters presented at ISPOR Europe 2019.
Nikolina Boskovic, is an HEOR Market Access Fellow in Strategic Market Access, located in the Boston, MD office. Her expertise includes public health and global health research, systematic literature reviews, and manuscript and abstract development. Nikolina has therapeutic experience in the following areas: maternal and child health, circulatory disease.
Prior to joining OPEN Health, Nikolina held a Fulbright Fellowship in Belgrade, Serbia, researching pricing and reimbursement policies in the Balkans. She previously interned at HealthMap at Boston Children’s Hospital and People that Deliver Coalition in Denmark. Additionally, Nikolina served and led projects on the Pharmaceutical Program Leadership Committee at Boston University School of Public Health. Nikolina holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health and Graduate Certificate in Pharmaceutical Development, Delivery, and Policy from Boston University School of Public Health.
Nicolai’s experience also includes qualitative patient reported outcomes (PRO) research, where he has been involved in an international project for the elicitation of health state utilities. Disease areas he has worked in include oncology, neurological disorders, infectious diseases and respiratory disorders. Nicolai holds a MSc degree in health economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a MA degree in health management from the Management Center Innsbruck.
