Group CEO, OPEN Health
Rob joined OPEN Health in 2014 and is now the Group CEO. With over 30 years of experience, he has worked at both Novartis and GSK before running advertising and medical communications agencies at Publicis. He left Publicis to create and run a novel prelaunch strategic consultancy for 8 years before joining OPEN health in various roles prior to his current position. Rob is a pharmacist by training who has also obtained an MBA.
CFO, OPEN Health
David joined OPEN Health in 2019 as the group CFO. He is a Chartered Accountant, received training at Arthur Andersen, and has 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in senior finance roles. Prior to joining OPEN Health, David was Group CFO of Vernalis plc, a UK-listed pharmaceutical business that was sold to Ligand Inc. in 2018. David was also previously Group CFO of Acambis plc, a vaccine company, and Group Financial Controller of Shire plc.
Founder and COO, OPEN Health
Sandy was one of the original founders of OPEN Health in 2011. Sandy is a pharmacist by profession and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. She has broad experience in pharmaceutical marketing and communications at global, European, and UK domestic levels. Prior to co-founding OPEN Health, Sandy worked in clinical development, sales, marketing, and communications at Novartis and Sanofi, and headed up European business for Huntsworth Health. As COO, Sandy’s main focus is setting and delivering the OPEN Health strategy, with a focus on maintaining the company’s unique culture, supporting strategic client partnerships, driving internal collaboration and integration, and identifying strategic partnership and acquisition opportunities.
CEO, Communications, OPEN Health
Margot joined OPEN Health in 2011 and is now the CEO of the Communications Practice. Responsible for more than 500 people, Margot has overall accountability for the Medical and Brand Communications services, including Publication planning, Medical Education, Learning and Development, Creative and Digital. Previously, Margot was with Astra, AstraZeneca, Takeda and Merck before moving agency side in 2007. With almost 25 years’ healthcare experience, Margot believes in harnessing the power of collective expertise, is passionate about talent development and has a strong track record in effective succession planning.
CEO, Evidence & Access, OPEN Health
David Thompson is CEO of the Evidence & Access practice and based in Greater Boston. His expertise in economic modeling, real-world evidence generation, strategic market access, and patient-centered research neatly maps to all four of the OPEN Health E&A Centers of Excellence, and he has experience in a wide range of therapy areas, including oncology, cardiovascular, central nervous system, diabetes, obesity, and pain.
Chief Information & Governance Officer, OPEN Health
Allyson joined OPEN Health in 2008 and has overall accountability for IT, governance, risk, compliance, legal, and facilities. Allyson is also the Chair of OPEN Health’s Global Health and Safety Committee.
Prior to joining the OPEN Health group of companies, Allyson worked for Peloton Advantage and Compuware Corporation, where she provided guidance to management teams by understanding cross-functional views of their quantitative and qualitative data with the objective of revenue maximization and resource optimization. In 2016, Allyson was selected as one of New Jersey's 2016 "Best 50 Women in Business" by NJBIZ magazine, an award based on outstanding contributions to the state of New Jersey in one’s chosen industry and in the community. She was chosen for this award based on her career accomplishments, leadership, vision, community service, and support of the personal and professional growth of women.
Chief Commercial Officer, OPEN Health
Jennifer joined OPEN Health in 2014 and is now Chief Commercial Officer. She oversees our global commercial strategy and marketing and leads initiatives to build and strengthen our collaborative client partnerships. Jennifer’s background is in client services, strategy, and business development, and she has extensive experience developing and leading medical communications, patient engagement, and learning and development programs for healthcare clients. Jennifer believes that OPEN Health’s value comes from its unique blend of culture, expertise, and collaboration, resulting in industry-leading work that makes a real difference in patients’ lives.
Chief Medical Officer, OPEN Health
Annemarie is Chief Medical Officer of OPEN Health. A medical professional with more than 18 years of scientific, medical strategy, publication planning, business development, and integration experience, she has deep expertise in leading multiple cross-functional client teams, implementing workshops and strategy sessions with internal senior management, and developing solutions that drive business unit success. Previously, as Senior Vice President, Strategic Services, she provided strategic clinical and operational leadership for business development activities. As Chief Medical Officer, Annemarie is responsible for supporting new business, strategic planning, and medical and scientific staff development across the organization.
Chief People Officer, OPEN Health
Rachel is the Chief People Officer of the OPEN Health group. With more than 20 years’ senior human resources experience in fast-moving commercial environments, she has worked in private equity firms, large UK PLCs, US-based multinationals, and global matrix organizations. Rachel specializes in mergers and acquisitions, cultural change, organizational development, and restructuring. Prior to joining OPEN Health, Rachel was a freelance consultant to a private equity business, where she provided senior advice to the business and its portfolio companies.
