Myriam Alexander is Senior Scientific Consultant in Real-World Evidence. She contributes to the epidemiological and statistical design of real-world studies, and provides medical writing support for protocols, study reports and scientific communications including poster and manuscripts. She also supports business development opportunities through her involvement in the European Health Data Evidence Network.
Myriam is a qualified epidemiologist, having completed an MPhil and PhD in epidemiology at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Public Health; and also a qualified statistician, with an Msc in statistical sciences and economic administration from the French National School of Statistics (ENSAE).
Myriam joined OPEN Health in 2018. She has over ten years of experience in scientific consulting and has held previous roles at Roche and GSK in their real-world departments.
Manoharan Andiappan is a Senior Statistician in Real-World Evidence, located in the London, UK office. He provides statistical support including sample size calculation, development of statistical analysis plans, data analysis and interpretation of data.
Before joining OPEN Health, Manoharan has worked as a Biostatistician at Dental Institute, King's College London. His experience includes power calculation, study design, consultancy on data analysis, statistical analysis of medical data particularly in the field of tropical diseases, psychiatry and Dentistry and Lecturing medical statistics. He has more than 20 years of experience in this field, with special interest in multivariate analysis, multi-level modelling and hypothesis testing. Manoharan holds a Master's degree in Statistics and a PhD in Bioinformatics.
Aysha Baig is a Project Associate in Real-World Evidence, located in the Marlow, UK office. Aysha joined OPEN Health in 2019 to provide support to the team of Project Managers.
Her role includes the setting up, maintaining and tracking of filing throughout the duration of projects for both national and international studies according to the needs of the project and client, maintaining quality and accuracy in all project activities. Aysha also supports data management in the set up of MACRO user accounts and responding to any user queries as well as dealing with Serious Adverse Events.
Prior to joining OPEN Health, Aysha began her career in pharma as a Technician at Lloyd's Pharmacy for 6 years. She then spent 2 years as PA to the head of the Pharmacy Department at the National Pharmacy Association in St Albans. She has also worked in a CRO as an E-Detail & face to face appointment scheduler within the Commercial Department before moving into the role of Clinical Trials Assistant within the Global Functioning Resource team working with Roche
Emily Ballinger is a Project Manager in Real-World Evidence, located in the Marlow, UK office. Emily has worked at OPEN Health since 2018 and has a wealth of experience across the whole company. After completing the 18-month OPEN Health Graduate Development Program where she rotated between the Medical Communications and Patient and Brand Communications practices, Emily began her role as Project Manager in March 2020.
From working in all areas of the business, Emily has a wide range of experience across multiple therapy areas. These include oncology, haematology, respiratory, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, addiction and rare diseases. During her time at OPEN Health, Emily has been involved in a variety of different projects - from sales aids, publications and brand launch meetings to HES data analysis, bespoke dashboards and machine learning patient finding projects.
Emily holds an Economics degree and has an interest in patient and clinical outcomes. In her role as Project Manager, she is responsible for leading regular project update calls and driving projects through to completion within agreed timelines and to budget.
Arne Barkema is a Senior Research Analyst inModeling and Meta-Analysis and the Real World-Evidence, located in the Rotterdam office. As such, he supports clients through conducting statistical analysis of diverse sources of real world evidence, develops and adapts cost-effectiveness models and conducts meta-analysis.
Prior work experience includes a position at a FinTech company and he has recently finished a graduate internship at the Erasmus Medical Center, working on a metamodel for micro-simulation of colon cancer screening, through Bayesian Neural Networks. Arne holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and a M.Sc. degree in Econometrics & Management Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).
Craig Bennison is a Senior Director in both Modeling and Meta-analysis and the Real-World Evidence, located in OPEN Health’s York, UK office. Craig has worked for OPEN Health for over 6 years, during which he has worked on a number of economic evaluations to support HTA submissions.
Craig’s modeling experience spans a number of different disease areas (cardiovascular, ophthalmology, oncology, …), and a number of different methods (Markov, partitioned survival, multistate, microsimulation). Craig also has experience in parameterising time-to-event data, particularly with long extrapolation periods. Craig has a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economics and Health Economics, both from the University of Sheffield.
