As Senior Director, Strategic Market Access at OPEN Health, Florentin Köhnemann brings more than seven years of experience guiding pharmaceutical and biotech companies through the complex landscape of market access, HTA, and drug pricing. His work spans the full HTA lifecycle, from strategic planning and evidence synthesis to value communication and the development and submission of HTA dossiers.
Florentin combines strategic expertise with creative, out-of-the-box thinking to deliver value beyond formal HTA requirements. His approach ensures successful and sustainable reimbursement and pricing outcomes for his clients, while his leadership in RFP processes, particularly in the German and broader European markets, reflects his commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
Before joining OPEN Health, Florentin honed his expertise at one of Germany’s largest consulting firms specializing in market access and pricing for pharmaceutical products and medical devices. There he was recognized for his structured client consulting, team leadership, and ability to translate complex regulatory and economic frameworks into clear, actionable strategies that drove measurable results. With an entrepreneurial mindset, he identified and developed new growth opportunities, taking ownership and driving successful project outcomes from concept to completion.
A trained Life Scientist (PhD) with a postgraduate degree in pharmaceutical law (LLM), Florentin brings a rare combination of scientific rigor, legal insight, and economic understanding. His in-depth familiarity with healthcare regulations and evolving HTA frameworks, particularly in the German system, positions him as a trusted advisor for clients navigating Market Access challenges.
At OPEN Health, Florentin will be working on HTA dossiers for G-BA, JCA, NICE, and other European agencies while also being instrumental in expanding the German service portfolio, identifying synergies with the organization’s global Centers of Excellence, and integrating advanced capabilities in health economics, biostatistics, and AI-driven tools. His entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision help shape innovative, cross-functional solutions that anticipate the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical sector.
