Jamie Kistler, PhD
President, Medical Affairs
Introduction
Jamie Kistler, PhD, is OPEN Health’s President of Global Medical Affairs and Communications. She has nearly 25 years of combined academic, clinical, and industry experience. Dr Kistler leads a team of 500+ experts across medical, scientific, health economics, client service, creative, digital and omnichannel, editorial, and strategy functions.
She has partnered with leading global pharmaceutical and biotech organisations, supporting medical affairs strategy and communications across diverse therapeutic areas and products, including multiple novel cell and gene therapies. Dr Kistler is passionate about bringing multiple functional areas together to build integrated strategic plans that help accelerate patient access to care.
An industry thought leader, Dr Kistler has contributed to MAPS and ISMPP educational programmes and recently led a panel at the MAPS Technology and Innovation Summit on AI’s role in cancer care. She has also served on the MAPS Patient-Centricity Working Group.
Dr Kistler earned her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pathobiology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where she advanced proteomic technologies for breast cancer research.
