Rare Dementia Support believe that decisions about dementia treatment and care should consider both people living with dementia and their carers. Making research findings accessible to a wider audience is key to achieving this goal.
The question
Rare Dementia Support (RDS), a UK charity providing social, emotional, and practical support to those affected by a rare dementia diagnosis and those who care for them, recently conducted research with caregivers to explore how dementia had impacted their quality of life.
Our Global Medical Affairs team partnered with RDS to explore opportunities to share the results of this research with a lay audience, including individuals with dementia and their caregivers.
The findings
The team developed a short, animated educational video suitable for a lay audience (watch here), including people who may have taken part in the research study, to help them understand the findings of the research and appreciate the wider impact of dementia.
