Emanuele Arca is an Associate Research Consultant in Strategic Market Access, located in OPEN Health’s Rotterdam office. His main expertise is conducting (systematic) literature reviews to inform network meta-analyses, global value dossiers and reimbursement dossiers. Moreover, Emanuele has experience in conducting stakeholder interviews and health policy impact evaluation.
His background is in European Public Health, he particularly focused on literature reviews in epidemiology and disease burden in EU countries and on EU functioning and policy-making in the field of healthcare. He has been involved in stakeholder analysis projects, where he conducted literature review and stakeholder interviews on the functioning of Public-Private-Partnerships in healthcare. Disease areas he has worked in include inflammatory disease, digestive conditions, oncology, and orphan diseases. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Prashant Auti is a Senior Research Analyst in the Strategic Market Access and Modeling and Meta-Analysis Centers of Excellence, located in Open Health’s Mumbai office. Prior to joining Open Health, Prashant worked in various organizations and is well-versed with systematic and targeted literature reviews, medical writing, medical information and medical communications.
His last stint was with GSK Knowledge Center in Gurgaon, India where he worked primarily on literature reviews, report writing, drafting abstracts and presentations. He has worked on projects focusing on asthma, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease. He earned his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from NIPER, Mohali, India in 2012.
Arne Barkema is a Senior Research Analyst inModeling and Meta-Analysis and the Real World-Evidence, located in the Rotterdam office. As such, he supports clients through conducting statistical analysis of diverse sources of real world evidence, develops and adapts cost-effectiveness models and conducts meta-analysis.
Prior work experience includes a position at a FinTech company and he has recently finished a graduate internship at the Erasmus Medical Center, working on a metamodel for micro-simulation of colon cancer screening, through Bayesian Neural Networks. Arne holds a B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and a M.Sc. degree in Econometrics & Management Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).
Craig Bennison is a Senior Director in both Modeling and Meta-analysis and the Real-World Evidence, located in OPEN Health’s York, UK office. Craig has worked for OPEN Health for over 6 years, during which he has worked on a number of economic evaluations to support HTA submissions.
Craig’s modeling experience spans a number of different disease areas (cardiovascular, ophthalmology, oncology, …), and a number of different methods (Markov, partitioned survival, multistate, microsimulation). Craig also has experience in parameterising time-to-event data, particularly with long extrapolation periods. Craig has a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economics and Health Economics, both from the University of Sheffield.
Chandrasekhar holds his post-graduation and PhD in Pharmacy Practice. His research areas of expertise include health economic modeling, network meta analyses, meta-analysis, literature reviews. In addition, he has experience in performing NMA and ITC in Winbugs and R programming languages. He had 2 publications on Bayesian NMA, 4 Publications on meta analyses and another four publications on primary research. Disease areas he has worked include low back pain, Diabetes, Respiratory infections.
Esra Cakar is an Associate Research Consultant in Modeling and Meta-Analysis, located in the Rotterdam office. She is responsible for cost-effectiveness and budget impact model development and adaptation, meta-analyses, survival analyses, pharmacoeconomic dossiers and literature reviews.
Before joining OPEN Health, Esra worked as a researcher at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management. As a researcher, she studied the complexity of care between academic, top-clinical and general hospitals. Furthermore, she conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis on Parent Child Intervention Therapy (PCIT-HOME), which is an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral problems.
Esra holds a bachelor degree in Health Policy and Management and a master degree in Health Economics, both obtained from Erasmus University. During her bachelor, she won a thesis award for her research on the application of multi criteria decision analysis (MCDA) in the Dutch drug reimbursement system. In this study, she used the MCDA framework to systematically compare the oncology drug nivolumab with other reimbursement eligible drugs based on their performance on multiple reimbursement criteria. For her master thesis, she developed a cost-effectiveness model for atezolizumab in third line non-small cell lung cancer patients in the Netherlands.
John has worked for over 12 years in health economics and outcomes research focusing primarily on pharmacoeconomic and epidemiologic modeling. His responsibilities involve design, execution, and overall management of research and policy initiatives supporting market-access, regulatory, and core scientific objectives. Other projects commonly include predictive modeling, developing population management tools, and meta-analysis. John has a BA in Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland and an MS in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.
Arushi Chadha is a Research Assistant in Modeling and Meta-Analysis, located in the Mumbai, India office. Arushi brings expertise in Mathematics and Statistics in addition to electives such as Machine Learning and Econometrics.
She is proficient in Python and R programming languages. Prior to joining OPEN Health, she worked at the National Stock Exchange in Mumbai within the Economic Policy and Research wing, across a spectrum of roles in financial economics. Arushi holds a B.A. honors degree in Economics with a minor in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. She completed her Post-graduate Diploma in Economics from Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics.
Anuja Chatterjee is currently working as a Research Consultant in Modeling & Meta-Analysis, located in the York, UK office. She has worked on projects including data analysis using England’s hospital episode statistics database, decision tree model development, systematic literature reviews, clinician expert opinion elicitation, as well as supported cost effectiveness and budget impact model adaptations. She is familiar with a number of disease areas such as cardiovascular disease, ophthalmology, autoimmune disorders as well as cancer. She has worked with statistical packages such as R and STATA. Her daily work requires advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and basic working knowledge of Excel VBA.
Anuja has completed three years of PhD research in the field of antibiotic resistance based at the Department of Medicine in Imperial College London. During her PhD, Anuja was a visiting graduate student at Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health in Boston, where she interned as a teaching assistant for the Medical Decision Making course. Anuja was previously awarded a MSc. in Economics from University of York and a BSc. Honours in Economics from University of Leicester.
Viktor Chirikov, PhD, MS is an Associate Director in the Real-World Evidence and Modeling & Meta-Analyses Centers of Excellence located in Open Health International’s Bethesda, MD office. He has a strong background in life-sciences, economics, and engineering, with 5 years of direct HEOR experience.
He has led and collaborated on multiple projects spanning the areas of hepatitis C, liver and skin cancers, hypertension, diabetes, quality measurement and improvement, transitions of care, medication therapy management (MTM) and community based participatory research interventions. Dr. Chirikov is well versed in analyses using various databases such as SEER-Medicare, Medicare Current Beneficiaries Survey, the Chronic Conditions Warehouse, Medicaid, as well as the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. He also has working knowledge of drug formulary evaluation, developed as a grader and judge at AMCP’s annual Pharmacy & Therapeutics student competitions held over the past four years. Dr. Chirikov has experience in clinical accuracy, legal integrity, and FDA compliance review of promotional materials, and has been an invited peer reviewer for multiple journals He holds a Ph.D degree from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and an MS in Health and Biopharmaceutical Economics from Lehigh University.
Shelby Corman is an Executive Director with Open Health International based in our Bethesda, MD office. She also heads the Real-World Evidence Center of Excellence.
Her expertise includes medical chart review studies; cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling, particularly in acute care settings and early in the drug development process; and AMCP and global value dossiers. Shelby has therapeutic experience in the following areas: oncology, infectious diseases, postsurgical pain, hemophilia, pulmonary diseases, solid organ transplant, and liver disease .
Prior to joining Open Health, Shelby worked in an academic health system, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania across a breadth of roles including formulary management, drug policy, and outcomes research. Shelby is active in ISPOR and teaches the applied health economic modeling course at the International and European Congresses each year. Shelby earned her PharmD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, followed by a pharmacy residency specializing in drug information, and a MS degree in Health Services Research.
Sounak Das, BSc, PGD is a Research Assistant in the Modeling and Meta-Analysis team, located in Mumbai, India Office. He brings expertise in Mathematics, Statistics and Data Analytics.
Prior to joining the organization, Sounak worked as an RA to Dr. Tushar Poddar, Macro Strategist at Wellington Management, an investment management firm to understand the impact (economic and policy implications) of technology on health, education, and enterprises using quantitative analysis, and Teach For All, a non-profit organization in the intersection of public health and education. Sounak has completed an undergrad in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University followed by a post-graduate program in Economics, specializing in Data Analytics from Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics, Mumbai.
