pH Associates (An OPEN Health company) welcomes Noma Khumalo to the Project Management Team.
Noma Khumalo is a Project Manager with experience conducting research in Real World Evidence studies and is skilled in undertaking set up activities through to study closure. Prior to joining pH Associates, Noma worked as an Observational Research Specialist in the CRO industry for several years where she supported and undertook feasibility, contract negotiation, obtaining local and ethical approval, site initiations, risk based monitoring and termination activities remotely or on-site. Noma provided ongoing support, advice and information to site ensuring successful recruitment of participants to time and target.
Noma has experience in both academic and clinical research environments and has previously worked for the Local Clinical Research Network during which she evaluated and advised, on a case-by-case basis, risks involved in conducting studies and assisted in devising strategies to overcome the challenges identified. She has experience in supporting registry studies and worked closely with primary care centres naive in undertaking research. In 2012, Noma completed a Master’s degree focused in Clinical Research, Design and Management from Imperial College London. Noma conducted independent research looking at the difference between pain outcomes post kidney donation and transplantation. Having worked as a nurse enables Noma to have a strong grasp and understanding of clinical procedures, patient pathways as well as challenges faced at grass-root level of recruiting into studies.
