Rob Pilbrow joins OPEN Health as Global Managing Director, Medical Writing

To strengthen our scientific communications expertise, OPEN Health Group have appointed Rob Pilbrow into the newly formed role of Global Managing Director, Medical Writing.

Rob will work across all three OPEN Health practices, supporting teams in the UK and US. 

Rob said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a well-respected company at this exciting time in its journey, following the rebranding and consolidation of practices at the end of 2018. My role will focus on supporting the growth of OPEN Health’s medical writing and scientific services, to meet current and future business needs.”

Rob joins from the medical communications agency, Porterhouse Medical Group, where he served as Group Director, Scientific Services. He spent nearly 15 years at the Group, growing, developing and leading its medical writing function. In addition to his extensive medical communications experience, Rob brings a broad industry perspective across medical affairs, health economics and scientific publications. During his career, he has been awarded for efforts to support flexible working, receiving a Women in Business Role Model award in 2016, and last year, he was recognised as a Healthcare Communications Leader Finalist in the 2018 Communiqué Awards.

Commenting on Rob’s appointment, Michael J.
