World Mental Health Day 2017

Written on Tuesday 10th October 2017

10th October marks World Mental Health Day! This day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.

Thrive London is a city-wide initiative for mental health which was launched in July this year and supported by the Mayor of London. The initiative aims to build a roadmap of risk to improve mental health across the city. In an article by Lancet Psychiatry, the authors explain how they are using real world data (RWD) for mapping mental health priorities in London and illustrates the need to use routinely available data when collecting evidence over such a large scale.

"Real World Evidence (RWE) can help with the dissemination of key information by bridging knowledge gaps and by improving the quantity and quality of evidence used both in planning and in guidelines"  (October 2017).

pH Associates (An OPEN Health Company) have commented on this recent article and have experience collecting real world data in Mental Health to address real world evidence needs. Please do get in contact with either Amanda Pulfer or Sam Oliver, Joint Managing Directors at pH Associates either via email: SamanthaOliver@phassociates.comAmandaPulfer@phassociates.com, or call us on: 01628 897 968.
