Tell us more about a day in the life of an Account Manager at Reynolds-MacKenzie?
There isn’t a typical day at Reynolds-MacKenzie, every day is completely different, but that’s what makes it so exciting and interesting.
I get to work on a range of clients across a number of disease areas all of whom have different requirements. This means that there is a lot of variety in my role each with its own challenges and you get the opportunity to work with so many different creative and energetic individuals. I’m constantly given opportunities to work on new projects which ultimately develop my skills and working with different clients. Working at Reynolds-MacKenzie definitely keeps me on my toes and allows me to cultivate my working relationships.
What did your first week at Reynolds-MacKenzie look like?
I was made to feel so welcome on my first day at Reynolds-MacKenzie. Upon arriving here, I was given a buddy who made sure I settled in well and really taught me what PR life is about! Reynolds-MacKenzie also provided me with a line-manager who helped give me that extra sense of security and we discussed what my role looks like and how I can progress during my time at the agency.
I was introduced to all the team, including those who I would be working closely with on accounts. This really helped me to feel at ease and realise we are all in it together, one team with one dream!
Why do you love working at Reynolds-MacKenzie?
I really enjoy working with such a diverse, young and creative group of people. I think having great people around you is so important! It is great to be part of Reynolds-MacKenzie and I really feel like we are a family, as cringe as that sounds.
I also love the fact that we get to work across such a variety of disease areas, this really allows me to learn about what challenges each of the clients are up against and finding out what the media’s perceptions of these diseases is something that really interests me.
What are the key skills that help you successfully work as an Account Manager at Reynolds-MacKenzie?
Since starting at Reynolds-MacKenzie as a Junior Account Executive, I have developed several skills which have been extremely pivotal in my development into the Account Manager role. As you progress from a junior role, your focus becomes less on administrative and logistical work to more of a management role. I particularly believe that time management skills and management / leadership skills are the most important as you need to manage your time efficiently whilst delegating and sharing responsibilities with the team to make sure we achieve the given task in a timely way.
Tell us more about Reynolds-MacKenzie’s culture and social side…?
We really live and breathe the ‘work hard, play hard’ mentality, here at Reynolds-MacKenzie. I am lucky enough to be part of the social team to help organise exciting team bonding activities. We have already done so many fun things it is a challenge to think of more! The team have enjoyed events ranging from escape room challenges through to mini golf, ping pong and even The Shard where we enjoyed an amazing three course dinner!
Outside of Reynolds-MacKenzie, what is your favourite thing to do?
I like to stay active and spend my time outside of work trying out new experiences and visiting new places, which I often discover via my favourite magazine, TimeOut.
One of my favourite past-times is cycling as it allows me to explore different places that you wouldn’t otherwise find easily.
What do you think is the most exciting opportunity for you in your future at Reynolds-MacKenzie?
Reynolds-MacKenzie is great in giving people the opportunity to develop by really allowing the junior team to own their own projects and demonstrate their management skills at an early stage giving them confidence to grow quickly within the agency. For me, this is extremely exciting as I know that I have the full team behind me knowing that they want me to progress throughout the company.
