As part of the Strategic Market Access team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

To account manage and provide clear strategic direction for OPEN Health clients ensuring timely and profitable delivery of high quality market access projects. To work with the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OPEN Health to develop and expand the market access business

Primary responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the performance of all allocated clients: financial performance; defining the strategic direction; delivering all initiatives on time and on budget; ongoing evaluation of deliverables; proactively recommending new business opportunities and securing organic growth
  • Maintain a client facing role throughout the delivery of all projects and be accountable for clear strategic direction for the project and client ensuring that objectives are met through to the final deliverable and organic growth is achieved
  • To work with the MD and CEO in business development, identifying and leading on new opportunities and clients for OPEN Health
  • Financial reporting to the MD, CEO and Finance Director, in line with defined processes and timings. Ensure appropriate financial responsibility amongst all team members, in accordance with their role
  • Overall responsibility for ‘trouble-shooting’ ‘problem’ accounts, clients as and when issues arise. To immediately identify areas of weakness/key issues and to plan and implement remedial strategies, as appropriate
  • Line management responsibility for members of the market access team with an ability to manage issues in a timely and effective manner. Raising of any key performance issues within the wider management team, as appropriate
  • Responsibility for the identification of training needs for line reports and recommendation of appropriate solutions, in collaboration with the MD and HR
  • Play an active role in the senior team to support best practice, develop new ideas and contribute to the OPEN Health business strategy
  • Demonstrate strong, consistent leadership within OPEN Health, including acting as a ‘champion’ for the function within the wider management team
  • Development of a close, effective working relationship with other Market Access Consultants (MAC) in order to promote a ‘seamless’ MAC team

Additional responsibilities:

  • Maintain thorough working records of all project activities
  • Contribute to the continuing achievements and annual targets of OPEN Health
  • To support the development of junior members of the market access team
  • Effective cross functional working with all internal teams to ensure that the delivery of projects is as efficient and effective as possible and opportunities for collaboration are identified and delivered
  • Maintain the credibility and reputation of the OPEN Health team in all dealings with internal and external clients at all times

What you’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of structure and function of the UK, EU or Global healthcare environments
  • Experience of working in market access in the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry; relating to product development, approval, marketing and continued lifecycle management
  • Good clinical knowledge and experience across a range of specialties
  • Proven track record of efficient project management from conception through to delivery
  • Clear demonstration of financial acumen
  • Minimum of 7–10 years relevant experience in Pharma, consultancy or related industry Graduate or relevant healthcare qualification(s)
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Car owner with full driving license
  • IT literate – working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
  • Experience of line management and supporting people development
