The Liberum office is located in London and is the IME division of Open Health. IME is supported through arm's-length funding in the form of a grant. This means the supporter has no control or involvement in the content hence we work closely with Thought Leaders who take on the role of faculty to create fair and balanced education for healthcare professionals across multiple therapy areas. Liberum is a member of the Good CME Practice group (gCMEP) and adheres to its 4 core principles of appropriate education, balance, transparency and effectiveness.

Currently Liberum is a small but rapidly growing group allowing for the opportunity to work on interesting projects in a variety of therapy areas.

As part of the Liberum IME team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

To work alongside the scientific services team to:

  • Ensure that your work, and that of your team, is of high quality, scientifically accurate, appropriate to the target audience, meets the lealrning objectives and is inline with good CME practice as well as accreditation standards
  • Serve as the lead editorial contact for financial supporters and scientific faculty, building key relationships and contributing to new business opportunities
  • Provide editorial support and guidance along with strategic input into education activities, actively seeking to add value and working closely with the project management team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage, motivate and inspire the medical writing team to excel and to actively promote their individual growth and development
  • Identify and anticipate any problems or resource limitations that could jeopardise the delivery of projects on-time, on-budget or with sufficient quality
  • Maintain knowledge in relevant therapy areas, industry and accreditaion guidelines and best practices in outcomes measurements and adult learning theory

What you’ll bring:

  • Graduate in life sciences (ideally biomedical), higher degree (PhD) preferred
  • Previous medical writing experience in a medical communications agency essential, IME experience along with oncology and/or diabetes experience preferred
  • Previous line management and/or mentoring experience essential
  • Experience across a broad range of activities; digital deliverables preferred
  • Ability to pick up on new therapy areas quickly and to work across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
