Group Account Director - Advertising - 8 Month FTC

  • Are experienced in life sciences and pharmaceutical branding/marketing

As part of the OPEN Health Advertising team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

Team Management

  • Leading a growth mentality across the Account Handling team
  • Working collaboratively with Senior Advertising team members
  • Ensuring consistent training is provided as well as looking for opportunities for new/innovative training to offer to the teams to support growth
  • Providing a safe environment for the Account Handling team to work in and feel respected
  • Recruiting members to the team who fit the OPEN Health values and are looking for growth opportunities
  • Providing direction and support across multiple account teams
  • Line management of SADs and ADs as appropriate

Leadership

  • Leading within the Account Handling and Advertising team as well as across OPEN Health
  • Supporting the SLT and SMT to deliver agency CSFs
  • Collaborating with the wider OPEN Health organization to support cross-functional projects and understanding
  • Act as a pitch lead
  • Ensure Rules of Engagement are driven across the Account Handling team and make suggestions for improvements if necessary

Financial Management

  • Ownership of financial reporting across your accounts by supporting the SADs to achieve forecast accurately
  • Supporting optimal financial management of each account and driving financial process within the business
  • Monitor forecast and work with BUD and CST to ensure resourcing requirements are understand and planned for
  • Ensure BUD is kept up to date with all relevant financial information

Client Management

  • Understanding of your clients’ business objectives, product strategy and relevant therapeutic area to ensure input and support can be provided across brands
  • Managing and influence senior-level client contacts and maintain positive working relationships
  • Working with SADs and ADs to proactively identify new business opportunities by networking and researching within existing client companies
  • Supporting all SADs and ADs across clients and act as the escalation point for all accounts
  • Highlight key issues to the Business Unit Director regarding key accounts and the account team, as appropriate

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare environment and target audience gained through significant experience in a healthcare agency or pharmaceutical company role
  • Approachable hands-on manager, trainer, delegator with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills
  • Financial acumen
  • The ability to distil complex information and produce simple, compelling briefs
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise; excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
