As part of the OPEN Health Communications New Business team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

Working closely with the NB and Marketing team, Strategic Services and COE teams you will deliver new business activities including:

Client Growth Plans

  • Own allocated Client Growth Plans, driving actions, supporting targeted NBD initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships in order to support revenue growth as well as diversity of services
  • Facilitate the building and implementation of a detailed new business plan in coordination with the Client Growth team, and report and monitor its efficacy and progress to leadership

Pitch Stewardship

  • Act as steward of pitch process and new business excellence for allocated pitches, proposals and prospects
  • Actively supporting (and leading when needed) OHC pitches ensuring adherence to processes and collaborative, strategic thinking throughout the pitch development

Outbound

  • Deliver outbound and lead generation activities aligned to OHC target client strategies, including but not limited to:
    • o Manage own network of contacts and drive opportunities
  • o Selling at conferences; driving opportunities and contacts identified
  • o Prepare tailored credentials/capabilities and present at credential meetings
  • Management of inbound opportunities – development and triage to COE
  • Support procurement outbound activities
  • Provide training and support to COEs to build NBD culture and opportunity generation plans, making the most of their contacts

New business processes

  • NBD reporting: Lead NBD tracking and reporting in partnership with COEs, supporting OHC use of CRM
  • Partner with COE teams/BU leads to define and continually refine new business strategies that reflect the needs and priorities of the OPEN Health Communications practice and its target clients (attending regular COE new business meetings)
  • Oversee completion of RFIs

What you’ll bring:

  • Health communications agency experience
  • Business development and pitch lead experience
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly the healthcare communications landscape
  • Business Development & Pitch leadership
  • Familiarity with New Business processes
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Diligent customer relationship management (internal and external customers)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Goal oriented
  • Respectful
  • Confident working with senior leaders
