Senior Account Manager - Patient Engagement

Patient Communications:

From patient support programmes (PSPs) and apps to clinical trial recruitment & retention; advocacy & PAG relations to certified medical device apps; disease awareness and education.

As part of the OPEN Health Patient Engagement team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

The Account Manager acts as the externally facing representative of the agency helping to identify client needs and develop new projects and proposals accordingly, taking responsibility for the day to day running of their accounts and ensuring the projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Project management from initial brief to final delivery – this includes estimating, timelines, financial reporting and regular communications such as contact reports, status reports, and regular calls and/or meetings with clients
  • Financial management – this includes invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and using company systems
  • Develop client relationships to better understand the client’s requirements and working culture/practices
  • Teamwork and engage colleagues – take responsibility for the progression of projects by developing briefing materials, handling briefing meetings and ensuring good communication to foster best practices between disciplines within the agency
  • Develop project business requirements and specification documents in collaboration with the development team
  • Evaluate and quality check work before presenting to the client
  • Contribute to the development of presentations, pitches and proposals as part of the extended team
  • Participate in pitch and proposal presentations
  • Help to identify new business opportunities and grow business organically with existing clients
  • Understand and assist with client strategy when required
  • Maintain company and client confidentiality at all times

What you’ll bring:

  • Driven and passionate with regards to your career and personal development
  • 2+ years of account handling experience, ideally in a healthcare communications agency or technology business
  • Project management skills, ability to create, manage and report on project plans
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to understand and interpret clients’ needs, helping the client to understand processes and leading the project delivery
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good competency in financial management, ability to create estimates and track to budget
  • Ability to communicate a concept or idea
  • A team player with good collaboration skills
  • Proactive, ability to work under own initiative, deliver to deadlines and focus under pressure
  • A sense of ownership and personal responsibility
