As part of the Patient & Brand Communications team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

  • Leadership of key accounts within the agency from a digital consultancy aligned to brand/product strategy and tactical implementation perspective
  • Overall responsibility for the performance of all allocated projects
  • Shaping the strategic direction of projects in partnership with clients
  • Delivering and overseeing the delivery of all initiatives on time and on budget to an exceptionally high standard
  • Discovering and proactively recommending organic growth opportunities
  • Leadership and responsibility of an account handling team (+/- Account Managers, Account Executives), including training, mentoring and development of your team
  • Responsibility for accurate, timely and profitable financial management of accounts (including accurate short/medium/long range forecasting and minimising over-service)
  • Leading new business pitch opportunities from an Account Handling perspective
  • Coordinating a pitch plan
  • Developing pitch strategy and slides
  • Leading the pitch team
  • Presenting to potential clients at pitch
  • Keeping Senior Management and project teams informed at all times and using their skills and experience as necessary to add maximum value to all aspects of their projects
  • Identifying, promoting and ensuring adherence to best-practice working in the team (‘Five Star Service’) and in their interaction with other internal teams

What you’ll bring:

  • 3/4+ years account handling experience, ideally in healthcare communications agency
  • Project management skills, ability to create, manage and report on project plans
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to understand and interpret clients’ needs; helping the client to understand processes and leading the project process and strategic direction
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to be able to communicate digital strategy, process and solutions effectively to clients
  • A team player with good collaboration skills
  • Proactive, ability to work under own initiative, deliver to deadlines and focus under pressure
  • A sense of ownership and personal responsibility
  • Workshop facilitation skills
  • Pitch leadership and proven track record
  • People leadership and management skills to help develop junior members of the team
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent desk research skills, ability to rapidly gain knowledge in diverse healthcare, technology and science subject areas
